People Like Us x Women in PR, Birmingham

Wednesday, 25 March

People Like Us is coming to Birmingham on Wednesday 25 March for a special collaboration with Women in PR and our very first UK event outside London.

This will be a space that centres the lived experiences of women of colour across PR, communications, media, marketing and the wider creative industries. Expect honest stories, shared experiences and conversations that actually stick with you.

The event is open to everyone, with free tickets launching later this month. Come along, bring a friend and be part of it.

Speakers have a fun (and slightly tricky!) task of presenting a piece of work they are proud of in just three minutes. You will be paired with an experienced professional for support and have the chance to show the industry what People Like Us are made of. Complete the application form below to be considered.

We ask speakers to present a piece of work they’re proud of (in just three minutes each!). In under 100 words, what would you like to talk to us about (don’t worry, this isn’t set in stone and can be changed later). Please note this does not have to be a D+I campaign. Tell us about your wild PR stunts, banging influencer campaigns, an investigative journalism piece that had many twists and turns.

We like to pair up each of our speakers with a mentor, someone experienced in the industry that can support on your presentation and also as a sounding board going forward. What type of individual would you find helpful? This can be broad or specific as you like - we’ll match you up closely to your interest points as we can.
