Job Description

About the Agency

We’re working with an award-winning communications agency rooted in sport — working at the intersection of fans, culture, competition and storytelling. Sport isn’t just a sector for them; it shapes how they think, create and collaborate, influencing everything from the work they produce to the environment they build for their people.

The agency partners with globally recognised sports brands, governing bodies and rightsholders, delivering insight-led campaigns that connect with audiences across consumer, grassroots and business communities. With growing teams across London and Manchester, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth, supported by a people-first culture and a shared passion for helping clients tell meaningful stories within the ever-evolving world of sport.

If you’re excited by the pace, creativity and collaborative spirit that comes with working in sport, this could be the right next step.

Building an inclusive, people-first culture is a priority. The agency partners with organisations such as BCOMS and 10,000 Black Interns, runs a reverse mentoring programme designed to elevate lived experience and learning across levels, and supports flexible observance of religious holidays so team members can align time off with their own faith traditions.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious and collaborative Senior Account Director to join a fast-growing independent sports communications agency.

This role sits within the extended senior leadership group, leading high-profile client relationships and shaping strategically led, earned-first campaigns that cut through a fast-moving media landscape. You’ll help develop big ideas, guide integrated storytelling and ensure work delivers cultural relevance and measurable impact.

You’ll be a confident senior communications operator with strong sports or culturally relevant PR experience, comfortable across both consumer and B2B audiences. We’re looking for someone with deep expertise in media relations, narrative development and integrated campaign planning, who can build trusted relationships with journalists, partners and senior clients.

This is an opportunity to join at a pivotal moment of growth, with real scope to influence creative output, support team development and help shape the agency’s next chapter.
